Headache after operation/surgery

I have intense headache and pain in neck whenever i try to stand. This is happening after my operation/surgery ?

No need to worry. If you have head ache and pain in neck and forehead after your operation/surgery. This is called Post-dural-puncture headache. You know, why this happen ? This happen because anaesthesia has been injected into your spine and during injection there has remained an hole through which cerebrospinal fluid leaks. This is thought to be the reason of your head ache which attack human head from neck to forehead when ever a patient tries to stand.
This problem is solved when patient resumes in recumbent position. This can be also termed as positional head ache as it improves or disappears with the position a patient holds his/her head.
The treatment is not needed however if your condition is becoming worse then you should take triptan. However this head ache lasts for less than a week.
